We are committed to providing assistance to congregations. The Children's Ministry Committee meets regularly to plan annual events. What's Happening in Children's Ministry? Several events are being sponsored by the LCMS in 2010 and 2011. The National Conference for District Early Childhood Consultants will be held in Phoenix, Arizona in February. A Children's Ministry Workshop will be held August 12-13 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau, Wisconsin. The 2011 National Christ-Children-Community Conference will be held July 7-10, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange, California. VBS Help Website

Concordia Publishing House (CPH) has launched a new VBS website for summer 2010 program, Planet Zoom. This site includes a wealth of new features designed to assist those planning to host VBS programs. Visit the new website at www.cph.org/vbs.

Synod's Children's Ministry Connections

Beat fall boredom with www.jcplayzone.com. Along with games, craft ideas, music, and recipes, the internet site now features daily devotions for kids. Each devotion includes a short story, Bible verse, and prayer. A companion website, www.jcparentzone, offers access to relevant information on parenting from a Christian prespective. Articles and spiritual answers to questions are updated regularly. These websites are resources from Lutheran Hour Ministries, www.lhm.org.
